Sepia Officinalis
Sepia Officinalis is also known as the Cuttle Fish. It is the brownish black liquid that is contained within the sac of the cuttlefish and was used by artists etc. We get the print color from this. The ink from the cuttlefish is used to produce the homeopathic remedy. The dried ink is triturated and taken to higher potencies.
It is well known as an anti-fungal treatment in homeopathy and has a marked affinity for the mucus membranes and skin, as well as female hormones.
Works well on candida infections of the vagina, intestines and nose.

Thuja Occidentalis
Thuja Occidentalis is also known as Arbor Vitae, White Cedar or Tree of life. It belongs to the natural order of Conifera and grows to a height of 5 to 15 meters. It grows in the upper parts of the USA starting from Pennsylvania northwards.
It is an effective remedy which treats any growth that is water infiltrated (a nasal polyp is just this); it treats warts and affections of any mucous membrane.
Thuja is a good remedy to use for infection and clearing infected mucus that is grayish green to black - similar to allergic mucin.

Kalium Bichromicum
This remedy is made from a chemical compound of Potassium and Chromic acid. It is also known as Potassium Bichromate with a chemical formula K2Cr2O7. The homeopathic remedy is prepared with 1 part Potassium Bichromate mixed with 99 parts sugar of milk. This is then triturated up to 3CH from which liquid potencies are prepared in alcohol. Homeopathic preparation of this substance makes it exceptionally safe for patients of all ages to use.
The eyes and nose tend to burn after exposure to cold. There is frequent and violent sneezing, sniffing and even stoppage of the nostrils. The discharge can be watery, corrosive, thick and stringy, contain pus, can turn into scabs or plugs, sometimes it may be offensive and could contain blood with the discharge. There may be a nose bleed especially after a bath or when eating.
There can be sensations of crawling, dryness, stiffness, twitching, being swollen, heaviness, tickling with the nostrils and sinuses. Presence of pain or pressure in the root of the nose or in the sinus bones themselves. Kalium Bichromicum is excellent to treat sinusitis that is aggravated from drinking beer.

Kalium Iodatum
It is known chemically as Kalium Iodatum, Potassium Iodide, and Kalium Hydriodicum and has a chemical formula KI. It is a chemical salt of Potassium and Iodine. Triturations up to 3CH are made with sugar of milk and higher potencies are then made in alcohol. Homeopathic preparation renders this chemical substance safe to use as a medicine and homeopaths have used this for over a hundred years.
The tip of the nose is often very red and the nose often feels or looks swollen. There is a profuse discharge of mucus that is thin and watery and feels acrid and hot. There may be sore or ulcers in the linings of the nasal mucosa. There is sneezing and mucus lodged in the frontal sinus. There may also be stuffiness or dryness of the nose without any discharge. The discharge is often green and irritates the nasal linings.
There may be violent headaches with sinusitis and pain is felt in the face, the frontal sinuses and temples. Often the pain is intense over the eyes and root of nose. There may even be sharp pains in the upper jaw.

Pulsatilla Pratensis is also known as the Anemone or Wind Flower. It is a plant of the natural order Ranunculaceae. It is indigenous to Central and Northern Europe. The Homeopathic mother tincture is made from the whole plant when it is flowering.
It is one of the chief remedies used in sinusitis. It produces a clear to yellow discharge that may be bland or sometimes patient says it is a sweet mucus. There may also be discharging of mucus from the eyes. There may also be chronic ear affections.
