Aurum Metallicum
Aurum Metallicum also known as Aurum Foliatum is the metal Gold. Gold (gold leaves/Gold Foliatum) is prepared into a homeopathic substance by trituration in sugar of milk. Higher potencies are prepared in alcohol. It was first used as a homeopathic remedy in 1818 by Dr Hahnemann, the father of Homeopathy. It was used by other physicians prior to that.
These patients may be sensitive to various smells which aggravate the sinuses. Discharge is thick like white of an egg. There is burning and itching of the nose. There may be affection of the nasal bones with ulceration of the mucous membranes. There is shooting pain in the sinuses. The nose and the bones forming the sinuses are painful to touch. The bones below the eyes are especially very painful. There may be a purulent discharge or a putrid smell in the nose.

Bryonia Alba
Bryonia Alba is also known as Vitis Alba, White bryony and Wild Hop. It is a high climbing perennial plant that grows abundantly in Germany and France. It belongs to the natural order Cucurbitaceae. The mother tincture is prepared from the fresh roots before the tree flowers. Subsequent homeopathic potencies are prepared by serial dilution of the mother tincture.
There is headache which can be accompanied by vertigo, nausea or faintness (during sinusitis). The pain is often described as a bursting and splitting headache as if the head's contents will be pushed out. It feels as if a hammer were being hit from inside of the skull. The pain is worse from motion, stooping and opening the eyes. Headache starts from face and spreads to back of skull. Get nasal discharge with shooting and aching in the frontal sinuses.

Chamomilla Matricaria
Chamomilla Matricaria is a plant with white flowers with a central yellow disc. It belongs to the natural order Compositae and grows freely all over Europe. The whole fresh plant is used whilst it is flowering, to make the mother tincture from which higher potencies are made. It has been used for over 150 years by homeopaths.
Chamomilla Matricaria helps for restlessness, impatience and for ailments after anger. Irritation to sneeze, with crawling, dry heat and stopped up sensation in nose; feeling as if coryza would appear; also with pressure in forehead. Coryza is fluent, watery; viscid; acrid; with loss of smell; with dry hacking cough. It treats throbbing headache in one half of head.

Kalium Bichromicum
This remedy is made from a chemical compound of Potassium and Chromic acid. It is also known as Potassium Bichromate with a chemical formula K2Cr2O7. The homeopathic remedy is prepared with 1 part Potassium Bichromate mixed with 99 parts sugar of milk. This is then triturated up to 3CH from which liquid potencies are prepared in alcohol. Homeopathic preparation of this substance makes it exceptionally safe for patients of all ages to use.
The eyes and nose tend to burn after exposure to cold. There is frequent and violent sneezing, sniffing and even stoppage of the nostrils. The discharge can be watery, corrosive, thick and stringy, contain pus, can turn into scabs or plugs, sometimes it may be offensive and could contain blood with the discharge. There may be a nose bleed especially after a bath or when eating.
There can be sensations of crawling, dryness, stiffness, twitching, being swollen, heaviness, tickling with the nostrils and sinuses. Presence of pain or pressure in the root of the nose or in the sinus bones themselves. Kalium Bichromicum is excellent to treat sinusitis that is aggravated from drinking beer.
There can be ulceration of the septum or inflammation of the entire nasal mucous membranes. There may be tough ropy discharges (often it is greenish yellow) which can also be found in the posterior nares commonly referred to as post nasal drip.

Gelsemium Sempiverens
Gelsemium Sempiverens is also known as Yellow Jasmine. It is a climbing plant with yellow flowers and has a pleasant aromatic odor. It belongs to the Natural Order Loganniaceae. It is mostly found in the USA, Europe and India. The mother tincture is prepared from the fresh roots whilst the plant is flowering. It was first used by a Dr. J. H. Henry in 1852.

Gelsemium Sempiverens treats catarrh with violent paroxysms of sneezing; worse in the morning, with tingling in the nose (hayfever).
This is a useful remedy when there is:
- Vertigo, spreading from base of skull
- Heaviness of head and a feeling of a band around head and occipital headache.
- Dull, heavy ache, with heaviness of eyelids and a bruised sensation improved
by compression of area of pain
- Pain in the temple, extending into ear and wing of the nose.
- Headache, with muscular soreness of neck and shoulders.
- Headache is preceded by poor vision and improved after profuse urination.

Kalium Iodatum is prepared in sugar of milk and is triturated till the 3 rd potency and is there after made in alcohol.
It treats profuse discharge of watery mucus from the nose with sneezing, coughing, and watering of the eyes. Useful when you have hayfever, head colds, influenza and polyps of the nose.

Sticta Pulmonaria is also known as Lungwort. The mother tincture is prepared according a homeopathic pharmacopoeia. It is a safe and effect remedy.
Sticta Pulmonaria treats dull headache, with dull heavy pressure in forehead and root of nose. Catarrhal headache before discharge appears. This remedy helps to cure burning in eyes and soreness of eyeballs. There is a feeling of fullness at the root of the nose.
